The Devil
Morte

GoodbyeA life of love, or a life of pain? Everyone knows they're one and the same You're bright like the sun, you're dark as the night And everything we do always feels right I would wait for a day, or even a year Just to have you close to me here But love can be fleeting, like clouds in the sun Even though yesterday you said I was the one You moved on, I guess that's part of life Though just last week you said I'd be your wife You leave me now with a sense of despair I don't believe you ever really cared I wanted you to put up a fight I wanted you to hold onto me tight &nGoodbye

Together they lunge and strike, swords clashing in unison, armour glinting in the sun. For hours they move this way, as though trapped in an eternal dance. As they tire, they make mistakes; a misjudged strike, a misplaced foot. Reflexes impaired by fatigue, they begin to accumulate bruises and minor injuries. Suddenly with a burst of energy and one final thrust, the sword is plunged deep into his abdomen. His face contorts in shock and pain. He fumbles for the hilt, but his hands slip on the blood pouring from the fatal woundAngel Light
